Southwick assessors approve sewer betterments, defer overlay decision. The Board of Assessors unanimously approved two sewer betterment warrant and commitment documents for 40 Berkshire Avenue and 26 Grove Street on May 11. Chairman John Cain tabled a proposal to transfer overlay funds to free cash after Director of Assessment Randall Austin could not specify where the funds would be allocated; the board will consult with the Finance Committee or Select Board before deciding.
Austin reported ongoing data corrections ahead of preliminary bill issuance and agreed to provide a spreadsheet comparing local exemption policies to other towns.
