Commission recommends releasing Klaus Anderson property right

Southwick Economic Development Commission recommends release of Klaus Anderson Road property right. The panel voted to recommend the town release its right of first refusal on land at 177 Klaus Anderson Rd. that is being put up for sale. Present were Chair Greg Deily, Alvin Allen, Serena Fuller, and Craig Samuelsen; Julie Pichnyi was absent.
The commission reviewed Complete Streets Grant opportunities and other state funding programs, noting that comparable Western Massachusetts communities including Chester, Tolland, Becket, Lenox, North Adams, and Deerfield have received grants ranging from $1 million to $2 million in recent years.
