EDC readies two Master Plan actions for submission

Southwick EDC advances two Master Plan completions toward formal submission. Commission Chair Greg Deily will submit the business database (EDC 1.1) and website (EDC 1.2) to the Massachusetts Preservation Initiative Council by May 31. Little Dog Social Media posts launch pending Select Board approval scheduled for June 1.
The commission flagged the need for a Tax Increment Financing policy following the WGI business agreement and noted the FY27 budget reduction to 1,800 dollars. Other priorities include the 2026 Southwick in Bloom contest and exploring Complete Streets policy qualification, potentially unlocking grants up to 1 million dollars for rail trail and lakefront improvements.
