Library Board approves two revised policies and grapples with steep budget cuts.

Southwick Public Library Board approves revised lending policies, faces 10 percent budget cut. The board unanimously approved updates to the Hotspot and Library of Things forms and revised the Circulation to Non-certified Municipalities Policy. Director Lynn Blair reported March circulation of 562 items among 3,204 patron visits and 18 programs hosted.
The mandated FY 2027 budget reduction, from $185,809 to $153,098, forces cuts to programming and materials that threaten the library's state aid certification requiring 19 percent budget allocation to materials.
