Southwick's Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee elected Conner Fleury as chair and Phil Price vice chair, with all six members present including commissioners Dennis Clark and Jason Grunwald, Martha Kane of the Open Space and Land Management Committee, and resident representative Jennifer DiPietro. The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, hired as consultant, has begun preliminary mapping and used approximately $2,600 of project funding for mapping work. The committee will review draft plan chapters and a community survey in coming months; updated Commonwealth requirements now emphasize equitable access to recreation across demographic groups.
