Planning Board approves wireless tower and continues two applications.

Planning Board · Meeting of April 28, 2026

SOUTHWICK — Planning Board approves wireless communications facility and site plan for 20 Juniper Road public safety tower. The Board voted 5-0 with one abstention to grant approval contingent on confirmation that easement documentation is appropriate, with Southwick Fire Chief Richard Stefanowicz noting the project is partially funded by a grant with a limited timeline. The Board continued Vladimir Vilkhovy's application to modify special permits and create two estate lots at 6 South Loomis Street and Kenneth Eggleston's request to convert 40 marina slips to rentals at 141 Congamond Road to the May 5 meeting.

Town Planner Alvin Allen reported the state denied the Town's moratorium on large-scale solar projects and the Board will incorporate state-provided language into the ordinance.
