Planning Board continues two hearings, approves Master Plan action item.

Planning Board · Meeting of April 7, 2026

SOUTHWICK — Planning Board continues hearings on estate subdivision and public safety tower. The Board postponed a request to modify special permits for 6 South Loomis Street until April 28 and similarly continued a new public hearing on a 150-foot wireless communications tower at 20 Juniper Road, town-owned property in the R-40 zone designed to replace an aging radio system funded by grant through the Town of Westfield. Chair Jessica Thornton committed to meeting with Town CAO Nicole Parker after resident Mike Shultz raised concerns about road quality and slow progress at the Noble Steed Subdivision on Crossing, noting crumbling construction and inaccessibility to delivery vehicles.

The Board also unanimously approved completion of a Master Plan Implementation Committee economic development action item.
