Planning Board Votes to Accept Permit Withdrawals for Aircraft Engine Facility

Southwick Planning Board accepted permit withdrawals for WGI's aircraft engine facility on Hudson Drive.

Planning Board · Meeting of September 8, 2026

Southwick Planning Board accepted permit withdrawals for WGI's aircraft engine facility on Hudson Drive. The board voted 4-1 to accept withdrawal of the Major Development Review Special Permit and unanimously accepted withdrawal of the Earth Excavation permit for the 60,000-square-foot facility at 34 and 36 Hudson Drive; Chair Jessica Thornton voted against the major development withdrawal. The facility, proposed by WGI Inc. after 25 years operating in the area, would increase traffic by 6 to 7 percent.

The board also unanimously endorsed site plans for an 884-square-foot accessory dwelling unit at 269 College Highway and an ANR plan for 6 South Loomis Street.
