Select Board approves $14.5M FY27 budget with capital spending for police, infrastructure.

SOUTHWICK — Select Board and Finance Committee approve $14.5M general government budget for FY27. Chair Diane Gale and Clerk Russell Anderson joined Finance Committee members including Joe Deedy, Karen DeMaio, Sheri Knowlton, Albert Rusilowicz, and David Methe in backing the budget unanimously, which includes $296,000 in police capital for vehicles, equipment, and facility upgrades, plus $40,000 in managed services cuts. Separate votes approved water ($1,536,650), sewer ($1,305,702), and EMS ($1,556,702) budgets.

The board also set the annual town meeting for May 19 at Southwick Regional High School auditorium, approved the Police Department's speed-monitoring grant program, and greenlit a legal services agreement with Mead, Talerman, and Costa LLC.
