SOUTHWICK — Select Board advances dog park proposal to Annual Town Meeting. Representatives of the Friends of the Southwick Dog Park, a nonprofit established in 2024, proposed donating 32 acres at 67 Hudson Drive to create Dillinger's Park, a multifunctional facility with areas for senior dogs and residents, natural preserve, and parking access to the Rail Trail; the organization pledged to fund the entire project through private grants and donations with no taxpayer cost for ongoing maintenance. The board unanimously approved a conservation restriction and three separate donations totaling $2,730 to animal control, library, and council on aging accounts.
