Southwick Select Board backs invasive species management contract and municipal health insurance exit. The board unanimously approved Solitude's three-year service contract for lake treatment at $30,000 per calendar year, with costs shared by Suffield and Citizens Restoring Congamond under the DCR three-year hydrilla grant. In separate votes, the board unanimously approved the Veterans Intermunicipal Agreement covering Southwick, Granville, Tolland, Russell, and Agawam; appointed Bryan Menard, an electrician and solar developer, to the Master Plan Implementation Committee through June 30, 2026; and reappointed Lizanne Bennett as Inspector of Animals.
Chair Diane Gale's motion to withdraw from Hampshire County Group Insurance Trust effective June 30, 2026 passed 2-1, with Clerk Russell Anderson abstaining.
