Select Board approves legal services switch to Mead, Talerman & Costa

Select Board · Meeting of April 13, 2026

Southwick Select Board unanimously approves legal services contract with Mead, Talerman & Costa. The three-member board voted to hire MTC over K.P. Law after a request for proposals drew two responses from six firms; Clerk Russell Anderson said MTC references edged out the competitor on responsiveness, and Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Nadine Cignoni noted MTC does not charge for paralegal or staff time.

The board also unanimously reappropriated $100,000 from the existing HVAC project for a Town Hall boiler replacement, approved a $2,200 reserve fund transfer for Southwick Library fuel, reappointed Devon Drewniany as per diem paramedic, and approved a $10,000 state reimbursement agreement for boat ramp repairs at state facilities.
