Select Board approves Oak n' Keg ownership change, two police Master Plan items

Southwick Select Board approves ownership change at Oak n' Keg and advances police priorities. The Board unanimously approved a restructuring in which owner Mr. Patel sold 40 percent of the business to Jaydipsinh Gohel and 25 percent to Shahil Patel while retaining managerial control and a financial stake; the change will be submitted to the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission.
In separate unanimous votes, members approved two Police Department Master Plan items: funding for license plate readers at main town access points and exploration of traffic calming on commuter roads. The Board also unanimously approved a Class II dealership license for Allen's Affordable Auto for 2026 and set citizen petition deadlines for the April 17 Town Meeting.
