Select Board approves Verizon pole on North Loomis Street
Select Board · Meeting of January 12, 2026
SOUTHWICK — Select Board approves utility pole placement after neighbor agreement. The board unanimously backed Verizon New England's petition to place one jointly-owned pole on public property on North Loomis Street after a revised location was negotiated with neighbors; Jason Ferrero said the original stake had been placed in the public way rather than private property as designed. In separate action, the board unanimously appointed Richard Bosak to the Joint Transportation Committee, filling a position previously held by the former DPW Director.
The board received its first tax receipts from Pioneer Valley Trading Company, the town's cannabis retailer, which totaled $19,330.11 since opening August 4.
