Southwick Conservation Commission unanimously approves dock variance and names erosion monitor. Chairman Norman Cheever opened the January 5 hybrid meeting with six members present; Commissioner Jerry Patria was absent. The board unanimously approved a variance for a dock at 52-58 Lakemont Street to remain in place year-round, and unanimously accepted John Condon as erosion control monitor for 142 Berkshire Avenue work beginning December 16, 2025.
The board continued a proposed three-home subdivision at South Loomis Street to February 2, 2026, and approved the FY27 budget reflecting a 5 percent spending decrease achieved by cutting travel and conference funds.
