Southwick Select Board approves municipal fiber broadband pilot through Westfield. The board voted unanimously to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Westfield Gas and Electric Department for fiber broadband infrastructure, with residential service expected at approximately $90 monthly and first connections anticipated within six months. The board also approved two Community Development Block Grant amendments totaling $183,796 to redirect administrative funds toward North Lake Avenue water system improvements.
In a 2 to 1 vote, the board authorized negotiating a one-year successor contract for Chief Administrative Officer Nicole Parker, with Clerk Joe Deedy dissenting.
