Southwick Select Board Approves Liquor License Change and Auto Dealer License

Select Board · Meeting of January 26, 2026

Southwick Select Board clears liquor license ownership change at Oak and Keg and approves contested auto dealer license. The board voted 3-0 on all business Monday during a remote Zoom session, including approving the addition of two new shareholders, Jay Dipson Gale and Shahil Patel, to DVKK, Inc., which operates the Oak and Keg package store at 20 Point Grove Road, while current manager Vimal Patel retains his role. Town Administrator Nicole Parker flagged that the owner of Allen's Affordable Auto had submitted what appeared to be a prior year's accounting letter with the date whited out in lieu of a required certificate of good standing, but told the board the $25,000 bond and all statutory requirements were current.

The board also set April 17 as the citizen petition deadline and April 20 as the warrant closing date for the 2026 annual town meeting, accepted two Southwick Police Department master plan priorities covering license plate readers and traffic calming, and canceled a master plan item that had called for hiring a dedicated town grant writer, with cumulative snow removal costs reaching $115,273.88 through the meeting date.
