Southwick Conservation Commission approves erosion control project at South Longyard Road. The commission unanimously backed a Department of Public Works proposal to extend a piped storm drainage network to address chronic erosion, which will disturb 4,750 square feet of Riverfront Area and require removal of 12 to 15 mature trees. DPW Assistant Director Jon Goddard and Director Rich Bosak said the plan aims to prevent future erosion for the foreseeable future.
