Lake board schedules public Congamond flooding forum

SOUTHWICK — Lake Management Committee schedules October public forum to unveil Congamond flooding solutions. The committee confirmed a public meeting for October 20 or 21 at Town Hall to present four proposed solutions to chronic Congamond flooding, with participation expected from state and local officials. Scheduled for September: a boat tour of Congamond Lakes organized by Senator Paul Mark's office and including representatives from Representative Nick Boldyga's office, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, Southwick Chief Administrative Officer Nicole Parker, and Lake Management Committee members.

Solitude Environmental Services will treat Middle Pond and South Pond for invasive hydrilla on September 1.
